Bright and Beautiful

Ok, last Xmas card for the week.  I promise I’ll do something different next post.  I love love love this set, and I totally adore these colours.  I really do, the Smoky Slate and Soft Sky look so good together, and I think the colours make for a stunning Xmas card.

_MG_9042The snowflakes come from the Endless Wishes set, I’ve used these a few times now, they make for great background stamping.

Cheerful Christmas

I really am in a stamping mood lately, updating my blog twice in one week has got to be some kind of miracle.  I haven’t been doing much crafting with shift work and life getting in the way, I’d forgotten how good it is to create something and I get to go through and use the stuff in my stash that I’ve been collecting.  🙂

With the holiday catalogue out and full of yummy Xmas product I’ve been making a few Xmas cards, I figured a couple of cards a week will build up a nice collection before the holiday season.

_MG_9049I like this stamp set, I can’t wait to do more with it, although I’m not totally sure how happy I am with this card, I think I might need to change the colours.

A Quick Update

Holy Cow, it’s been a year since I posted!  Yikes!  I haven’t done much crafting in the last year but I’m slowly getting the itch back, so just thought I’d upload a couple of quick cards I’ve done in the last few weeks.  Nothing exciting too exciting, and Christmas is fast approaching so thought I’d start getting stuck into the Xmas cards, here’s the first one I did today.   Quick and simple, just the way I like it.

Mingle-All-The-Way Mingle

Just going to add a couple more quick cards to this post.  And if it takes me a year again to add more, slap me. 🙂_MG_9022I must admit I do really really like this butterfly one, using the big Swallowtail stamp.  Was very pleased with how it turned out.

A Little Bit of Relaxing

Well, it’s Mother’s Day today and while everyone was asleep and I was nibbling on my chocolates I decided to make a few cards.  I’m really pleased with the first one, and I love the Honeycomb Embossing Folder, such a lovely texture.  And I must admit I’m quite pleased with the colour selection. 🙂  Best-Things

The second card I made a couple of days ago, I just haven’t had a chance to post it yet.  It’s simple, but I loved making the background “paper”  I used the Oh, Hello stamp set, stamped out the arrowish stamps in different colours, cut around each one individually, leaving a couple of millimeter gap, then lined them all up in my desired pattern on the white cardstock and cut out with the oval cutter.  Makes an easy background paper, I’m going to have another go later with different colours and a different pattern 🙂

Oh-HelloAnyway, I hope you all have a wonderful Mother’s Day 🙂

Easter Boxes

I had a very productive trip to Costco the other day and somehow a 52 piece bag of Hershey Nuggets jumped into my trolley. I have no idea how that happened….anyway… I thought that I should try and be super productive with them, and with Easter coming up I found a couple of patterns on Splitcoast Stampers for boxes that fit these yummy bits of chocolate perfectly.  I have had fun making these as my study breaks.  And amazingly, I have only eaten one chocolate, and that’s because the wrapping was coming off and not suitable for gift giving. (Well, that’s the story I am sticking to lol).

I think these turned out super cute, I can’t wait to make some more, and it’s a great way to use up left over patterned paper. 🙂  These two patterns here are from Twitterpad and Floral District.  And the colours used are , Whisper White, Basic Grey, Island Indigo and Rich Razzleberry.

Thinking Of You

I think the stamping bug has hit me again, another quick card. Love the colours on this, the Tempting Turquoise and Rich Razzleberry look so good together.  Let’s see if I can keep this creating and blogging up 🙂

Thinking-Of-You Thinking-Of-You-Two

Today is my last day of work before my days off, with any luck I’ll be able to create till my hearts content 🙂

Swallowtail

It’s been ages since I’ve posted anything, and although I keep telling myself I need to keep my blog up to date, it just doesn’t seem to be happening.  With work and uni, things are very busy.  But I did manage to make something this morning, I received a box of new stuff yesterday so, I decided to have a play this morning.  We have a fabulous Seasonal Catalogue out until the 30th June and there are some yummy things inside, including this beautiful big Swallowtail butterfly stamp.  I love this stamp.  Swallowtail

And although you can’t really see it, the butterfly is embossed with the Melon Mambo embossing powder, I have done any embossing for a long time, but I think I’m going to be doing a heap more!  Especially with all the lovely new colours we have 🙂

Kindness Matters

How’s this? Two posts in the one week, please don’t fall over in shock!  I know I know, I’m amazed too. But I’ve had so much fun playing with all my new supplies lately that I just couldn’t help myself.  Just wanted to blog about this quickly.  This is a cute little set called Kindness Matters, and it’s one of the cheaper sets in the catalogue.  So cute for making quick and easy cards, gift cards or even just tags.  I’ll put some examples of those up later.

I love how vintagey this one turned out.  I especially love the Labels Collection Framelits.  I think they’re going to be my new favourite thing, be prepared to see them a lot 🙂

New Colours!

I am so in love with not only the new InColours for this year, but also the new inkpad design.  I made a quick card to show both off.  Look at that bird, that ink coverage was with only a few light taps on the ink pad!  How awesome is that!  I’m going to drag out all my solid stamps and see what the difference is.  And the colours are so pretty, I love the Gumball Green 😀  This new stamp set is called Betsy’s Blossoms too.  I really enjoyed stamping with it, I especially love the little bird.  I wanted to do a nice clean and simple card just to show off the stamp set and colours.  And this was the perfect set for that.  I think I’m going to be using this a lot lol.

Mixed Bunch

Okey dokey, once again it’s been a long time between posting, but it’s been a busy year with work and study. And I haven’t really felt any creative mojo for a while, but it’s coming back to me slowly.  I’ve tidied up my crafting area and I’m very much excited about the new catalogue coming out as well as the holiday mini.  So expect to see a lot of Christmas samples!  Anyway, being home sick today and not having any energy to do anything houseworky (not that I often do lol) I thought sitting down and having an inky play I could possibly do.  And here’s what I came up with, I know it’s not awe inspiring, but for just getting back into it I think it turned out ok. 🙂

I really like this set, I think it’s lot’s of fun and was available in the Winter Mini and will be back in the new catalogue that comes out on the 1st September. 🙂
