Truly Tailored

I don’t make as many masculine or male themed cards as I probably should.  However, now that I have this set I’ll probably rectify that.  It is such an awesome set, what I like the most about it is it doesn’t have cars, motorbikes or things that are usually “typically male”.  But not every male is into those things, so it’s nice to have something male but neutral.  I also think that the matching Designer Paper is quite awesome too.

Feathery Friends

I recently purchased some of the new Stampin’ Blends.  These are such lovely alcohol markers, they colour so well.  The colours I got to try them out were Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Bermuda Bay.  I also had a Hostess Set (this set is exclusive for those that are eligible for hostess rewards).  It’s one of the sets that’s great for colouring.  The colours are a little retro but I think they go together really well. The little bird is so cute. 🙂Feathery-Friends

Eastern Medallion

This stamp set and die set have been sitting in my stash for a few months now and I hadn’t done anything with them, yesterday I decided to have a play.  The die cuts are really cool, the layering just makes the card pop and gives some lovely texture.  I’m looking forward to seeing what else I can come up with using this set.  And to have more of a play with the matching stamp set, the fonts and sayings in this set are quite pretty and versatile.

Carols of Christmas

Ok, one last Xmas card for the week and I promise that next week I will try and do some non-Xmas so we don’t get overloaded.  This is a very cute set, called Carols of Christmas, I really like how big the sentiment is. Makes for a nice quick card that’s very eye catching.  This is going in my favourites box as well.  And I did go traditional for the colours.  Although I prefer non-traditional Christmas colours, like blues and purples.  There is something awesome about a nice red and green.

Merry Cafe

I love coffee.  I adore coffee. I live for coffee. Coffee keeps me sane and alive.  And now this…the cutest, most adorable coffee cup set I have seen in a while.  There are actually two coffee sets, one in the main catalogue called Coffee Cafe and a Xmas one called Merry Cafe, these stamps are from the Christmas one.  I’ll try and do a non-Christmas set of cards later in the week.  Unfortunately I am on a Christmas roll so you’ll just have to put up with that.

Snowflake Sentiments

This might be my favourite Christmas set this year.  I’ve always loved the snowflake sets, they make such lovely Christmas cards.  And the matching thinlit die is pretty cool too, just adds something to the card that’s quick and easy to do.  And it’s very relaxing sitting there poking out the little bits from the snowflake lol.  The other thing I really like doing is not using traditional Christmas colours, those colours getting boring fast for me.  I was quite taken with this colour combo and will probably use it more this year.

Mini Pizza Box

Once again I start a post with I know it’s been a long time….7 months to be exact since I last posted. I’m amazed at how quickly the year goes.  I just wanted to share a quick post on something that’s in the 2017 Holiday Catalogue which I thought was just so cool.  These mini pizza boxes make great little gifts for teachers and friends.  You can get mini envelopes that fit the box and make cute little gift cards.  I think they’re adorable.  These didn’t take long at all to make.

Birthday Fiesta

Just a quick one I whipped up using the Birthday Fiesta set.  Very festive 🙂  I quite like the banners and streamers, there’s also a matching Sizzix Thinlits Die Set which makes cutting the pieces out nice and easy.  I’ll put another card up in a couple of days using the same set but a different design.  There’s so much you can do with it.

By The Shore

Whilst I was playing the other day, I had a couple of designer paper pieces left over that I wanted to use.  I wanted to show how easy it was to make a quick card using whatever you have left lying around without having to get out a lot of stamps and inks.  It’s always handy to have some cards on hand for emergencies.  I know my kids raid my stash a lot for their friends.  This card uses the reverse side of the Dapper Denim monochromatic paper that I used on the Seaside Shore card the other day.  I matted with some of the Calypso Coral cardstock and embossed the card to give it some texture.  Nice, quick and easy.  The Ahoy There greeting is one I had hanging around my desk after finishing the other card. It doesn’t hurt to keep things that you haven’t used in a little storage container, you never know when it might be the perfect piece you’re looking for.

Calypso Coral Seaside Shore

Considering I’m on a roll I decided to do another monochromatic card, this time using the Calypso Coral theme.  The designer paper pack that accompanies the Seaside Shore set called By The Shore has this awesome paper that I think looks great as a background for a card.  And it saves a lot of work!  I’m not sure which one I like the best the Dapper Denim set or this one.  Sorry for the shocking photo, it’s raining a lot here and I haven’t been able to set up how I usually do my photos.
