One of the new framelits in the Occassion Catalogue is a mini treat bag. I’ve only had a small opportunity to play so far but I ca see great potential. Especially for Easter gifts. I ended up making the bag and a card insert, it’s very simple, but sometimes simple is good. I especially loved how the colour combination turned out. Really liked the brown colours with the red and blue.

I don’t often make children’s cards, by kids are a bit past that age. And I’m very much a floral girl. But, I couldn’t resist this cute stamp set. I bought it in the pre-order and just hadn’t used it yet, until last night. Trying to get out of my comfort zone I whipped this up, I don’t think it came out too badly. 🙂 I’m interested to see what else I can do with it.
Stamp Set: Sea Street, Itty Bitty Banners
Cardstock: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Night of Navy, Crumb Cake
Accessories: 2 1/2″ Circle Punch, Itty Bitty Banners Framelits.
Because that’s what I’ve been doing. The one thing I try to achieve with my Xmas cards are to make them simple and easy to recreate, I try to do 4 or 5 designs a year and reproduce them, I don’t think I have the creative brain at the moment to do individual designs lol. I really like these ones, especially the Mingle All The Way with the trees and the Seasons Greetings. Something about the monochrome green combo makes me all happy inside. Hope you like them, if you do please leave a comment below, I think people are reading this but would love to know what you think. Cheers!
The colours here are Cheery Cobbler, Blackberry Bliss and Always Artichoke.
Garden Green, Sahara Sand and Pistachio Pudding.
My favourite, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake and Garden Green.
Ok, last Xmas card for the week. I promise I’ll do something different next post. I love love love this set, and I totally adore these colours. I really do, the Smoky Slate and Soft Sky look so good together, and I think the colours make for a stunning Xmas card.
The snowflakes come from the Endless Wishes set, I’ve used these a few times now, they make for great background stamping.
I really am in a stamping mood lately, updating my blog twice in one week has got to be some kind of miracle. I haven’t been doing much crafting with shift work and life getting in the way, I’d forgotten how good it is to create something and I get to go through and use the stuff in my stash that I’ve been collecting. 🙂
With the holiday catalogue out and full of yummy Xmas product I’ve been making a few Xmas cards, I figured a couple of cards a week will build up a nice collection before the holiday season.
I like this stamp set, I can’t wait to do more with it, although I’m not totally sure how happy I am with this card, I think I might need to change the colours.
Holy Cow, it’s been a year since I posted! Yikes! I haven’t done much crafting in the last year but I’m slowly getting the itch back, so just thought I’d upload a couple of quick cards I’ve done in the last few weeks. Nothing exciting too exciting, and Christmas is fast approaching so thought I’d start getting stuck into the Xmas cards, here’s the first one I did today. Quick and simple, just the way I like it.
Just going to add a couple more quick cards to this post. And if it takes me a year again to add more, slap me. 🙂I must admit I do really really like this butterfly one, using the big Swallowtail stamp. Was very pleased with how it turned out.
I had a very productive trip to Costco the other day and somehow a 52 piece bag of Hershey Nuggets jumped into my trolley. I have no idea how that happened….anyway… I thought that I should try and be super productive with them, and with Easter coming up I found a couple of patterns on Splitcoast Stampers for boxes that fit these yummy bits of chocolate perfectly. I have had fun making these as my study breaks. And amazingly, I have only eaten one chocolate, and that’s because the wrapping was coming off and not suitable for gift giving. (Well, that’s the story I am sticking to lol).
I think these turned out super cute, I can’t wait to make some more, and it’s a great way to use up left over patterned paper. 🙂 These two patterns here are from Twitterpad and Floral District. And the colours used are , Whisper White, Basic Grey, Island Indigo and Rich Razzleberry.
