I had so much fun doing this layout. And yes I scrapped another page! Woo hoo I’m on a roll. :-D This one is using the same photo of my daughter that I used for the inkling challenge, it’s such a cute photo that I wanted to use it in a different way. Here I’ve printed out a strip in black and white. I think it looks great on the side of the page.
The glitter was such fun to use as well, it’s a great way of dressing up chipboard. For the branch I worked in sections, first I covered the stem in Crystal Effects then using added the Supanova Fine Glitter. After that dried I then repeated the process for the leaves.

Such a fun layout to do. Hope you like it.

Amazingly I’ve finished another layout. Using the same sketch from the Inklings Challenge (the link is in the post below). This time I used my son’s photo. And I pulled out some paper that’s been sitting in my paper pouch for a while. This is called Windsor Knot and it makes great masculine or boy pages. I’m very happy with this layout and I’m acutally very tempted to do it again in a 12×12 size. This one is 6×6. I’ll see how I go over the weekend lol.

It might be a few days late, but I did complete, photograph and blog it! Yay! So here it is. This one was a scrapping challenge, and based on a sketch from Creative Scrappers I like sketches, they really help me think in a different direction. Otherwise I seem to do the same thing over and over. Hey, I have a style and I’m comfortable lol.
This one I did as a 6×6, I had some of these little photos printed out and wanted to use one. I’m going to do my son’s photo using the same sketch this week sometime. I’ll upload that too when it’s completed.

I’m ashamed to admit that I’ve only just ordered my first package of 12 x 12 textured cardstock. But it’s so pretty that I don’t think it’s going to take me very long at all to go through it. And it might actually mean I’ll catch up on my scrapping. The stitching was done by hand. I used the matpack to prick the holes in the layout then backstitched using some embroidery thread I had laying around. I’m quite pleased with how it turned out. I don’t often stitch on a layout so this was quite different for me.
Anyway, hope you like it

Last night was Septembers Inklings Cyberstamp on Jayne’s wonderful forum. Alanah was our lovely host
and she came up with some great challenges, first one was to make a card using at least 3 embellishments, I have done, but I’m having trouble getting a nice photo of it. I’ll do that tomorrow. The 2nd one was a Flower Pot card, which is shown below, I really liked doing this one and might have to make another one just for the fun of it. The 3rd is a scrapbooking layout which I might have to work on on the weekend.
I know the photo isn’t the best but it’s hard to photograph something that doesn’t stand up lol. I’ll post the other challenges over the weekend, which I hope you all have a fabulous one.

Another month and that means more Elite Blog Challenges. Please go check out all the fabulous work that the Elite Stampers do. So far I’ve done one of the challenges which is the colour challenge. This one was called Perfect Breeze, and the colours used were, Baja Breeze, More Mustard and Perfect Plum. I threw some white in there too (shhh don’t tell).

I wasn’t sure how these colours were going to go together and was a bit daunted to be honest, but I think they’ve done quite well. :) The flowers were from the Petal Pizzaz stamp set, and the orange flowers were punched out with the Circle Scallop punch. If I can cheat I will, it does save ages in cutting by hand. lol Anyway, hope you like it.
