Is it too early for Christmas Cards??? Never I say! Plus if you start early, you’ll have them all done by the time Christmas rolls around and you won’t be running around in a panic (like I usually do hmmmmm).
Anyway this is just a quick and simple card using the Wish For Peace stamp set, it’s one of the new Christmas sets in the main catalgoue, it’s quite sweet. What I’ve done here is clear embossed the image using a Versamark inkpad, then using an Aquapainter filled with bleached, bleached out the parts I want to be white. Now I have a tree with snow. Very clever don’t you think? If you are going to play around with bleach, make sure you test the cardstock you use first. Depending on the dye in the cardstock, sometimes they don’t go completely white. The blue I’ve used is Brocade Blue, and yep it goes white. :-) I also have to say…how cute is that ribbon? Riding Hood Red Taffeta, very lovely.

Last night was an Inklings Cyberchallenge. Now I haven’t done one of these in a while, I keep forgetting they’re on. *blush*. But I set my alarm on my phone yesterday and I rememebered. There were 3 great challenges set by Fiona. The first one was a sketch challenge. I really liked this one, it really made me think.

The second challenge we had to print off the purse template from the demo website. This was fun, it’s been a while since I’ve played with any of the box template. I didn’t have to do much for this, I think the paper spoke for itself. So pretty.

The third challenge was a colour challenge, now these always inspire me. The colours in those one I’ve fallen in love with, so soft and pretty. They were Kiwi Kiss, Kraft, Basic Grey and Baja Breeze. I really enjoyed this one too.

Anyway, that’s it. I hope you like them.

How awesome is this set? Love the skull look, it’s so much fun, I just had to do a boy and a girl card using this set, just to show how versatile it is. I can’t take credit for the glitter heart eyes on the girl card though, but I don’t remember where I saw the idea, it’s very cool though. The eyes are done with the new Sticky Cuts and Supa Nova Glitter, oh so much fun to use! I highly recommend them. I’ll post a scrap page I did the other day using them as well, I loved how funky it turned out.

Don’t forget to visit my forum and gallery when you get a chance!

Hello Everyone! I’ve been a busy little beaver these last 24 hours, I’ve successfully managed to install a forum and a gallery onto my website. Now this is a major achievement for me to do this all on my own and I’m very proud of myself, so please feel free to check them out, there isn’t much happening on the forum at the moment, there is a locked area just for my downlines, but the other areas are open and running. If you have any topics you’d like to discuss please feel free. :-) I’d love to see some little chatter on there lol. And it is open to anyone so please don’t be shy.
I also have my gallery running, now I’m slowly adding new pics and samples to it, but it will take me a while to get organised but feel free to have a look.
That’s it from me for the moment, the kids are asking for dinner. Pesky things getting in the way of my important blogging lol.

I have a new hostess club starting soon, and there are still a few places left to be filled. What’s a hostess club you say?
Well, all you need to do is commit to spending $30 a month (not inc P&H) and each month a club member is the hostess and receives all the hostess benefits from that month. Which will always be a min of a level 1 hostess set and $30 in shopping dollars.
You’ll also get a pdf tutorial and video tutorial on a project for that month. You can also be anywhere in Australia too.
You may also take more then 1 place if you wish too. If you think you might be interested please email me on mail@kareninks.com or if you have any questions please let me know.

This is just a quick card for one of the Elite Challenge Blog Challenges. This one is using the a card layout from one of the samples on page 29. This is where the Catalogue is fabulous, you can use the sample ideas to create your own card layouts.

I really like this one. I love the red, black and gold. And I really think the double scallop edge just rocks! So much fun. What do you think? Love some honest opinions.

I found these photos the other day and I just had to scrap them with the new Good Morning Sunshine paper, it’s such a retro looking paper. But looks awesome, it also matches the Cheep Talk and Good Friends stamp sets.
These are my grandparents. I miss them heaps. And seeing these photos bought back lots of wonderful memories. Hopefully one day I can pass on the stories to my kids about what I did as a child with my grandparents and how much they mean to me. This is why photographs are important, they trigger memories that are long forgotten so we can share them with our loved ones they never had the chance to know those in the photos.

Stamp Set - Cheep Talk
Cardstock - Summer Sun, Kiwi Kiss, Good Morning Sunshine DSP
Ink - Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip
Accessories - Build A Brads, Cutter Kit

That’s right! This months promotion is for 2 months! How awesome is that. If you book a workshop for June or July and your workshop does $600 in totals you get an extra $40 to spend, which brings your total hostess freebies to $110 plus a choice of a level 1 or level 2 hostess set. Fantastic huh? If you’d like to book a workshop please email me on mail@kareninks.com I’m happy to do workshops from Bega to Sydney. Also if you don’t have time for an actual “workshop” consider having a catalogue party. You’ll still get a free Idea Book and Catalogue, just show it around to your friends, collect some orders and still get all the benefits. How easy is that.
