A Shameless Case

Jul 14th, 2010 Posted in Uncategorized | no comment »

One of my fellow Inklings, Michelle Pauly, did a fabulous card at the training day for a swap, and I just had to steal some of the ideas.  Mainly the quilting pattern on the Top Note Die.  This was so easy to recreate.  Just punch out 1 1/4 inch squares in matching pattern paper, double sided works great.  Then adhere them to some scrap cardstock in a checker pattern.  Then run it through the Big Shot!  Here’s my take on it.

I think it makes a fabulous looking background piece.  What do you think?

Materials Used.

Stamp Sets - So Swirly Jumbo Roller

Cardstock - Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper.

Inks - Chocolate Chip, Old Olive

Accessories - Bird Punch, 1 3/4 inch circle punch, Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon.

Something Vintage

Jul 7th, 2010 Posted in Uncategorized | one comment »

Here’s just a quick something I whipped up while playing today.  After going to the Inklings training on Sunday afternoon, (which was great fun as always) I came back with some fabulous ideas, I know my downline Dani has been making these for a while but I decided I’d give it a go today after doing them again at the training day.  These flowers are so darn cute!  I love them. :-)

I don’t often do a vintage type card but thought this turned out rather nice, (being modest here lol).  And don’t you love that background wheel!

Embrace Life

Jun 12th, 2010 Posted in Uncategorized | no comment »

Just a quick card I did for the Elite Challenges colour challenge for this month, we had to use Mellow Moss, Soft Suede, So Saffron and Chocolate Chip.  I even managed to drag out a stamp set that I hadn’t used in a while, Embrace Life.  I combined all this with a sketch from Page Maps, using sketches is incredibly handy at times, especially when you don’t quite know what to do, or you need a quick card in a hurry. Enjoy!

Vintage Vogue

Whatever you do, don’t fall over in shock that I’m updating my blog!  I know, I know, I’m quite surprised too lol.  And I’m going to try my best to get back into updating reguarly, I have a month of no uni to get myself into a routine, so look out!

I made this card the other day and I’m quite pleased with how it turned out, after a few months of only making cards randomly I’m still getting back into the swing of it.  This is using the new products from the Autumn mini.  The new colours are so yummy, and they’re staying!  They’ll be a part of the Colour Renovations new line up.  They are Soft Suede, Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo.  The stamp set is Vintage Vogue.  And the background piece is the Top Not diecut from the Big Shot range. So much fun to play with.  I hope you like it!

Love Love Love…..

Feb 12th, 2010 Posted in Uncategorized | no comment »

Well it’s getting very near to Valentines Day, where all the chocolate and love hearts are all around.   I wanted to play around with the heart punches that I just got and decided to CASE a card from the Summer Mini, this is based on the card on page 15.  I have changed a few things though :-)  But what I really want to CASE from it was the ribbon behind the punched out hearts.  I thought this looked really cute and just had to copy it.  I don’t think it turned out too badly, I quite like it.   What do you think?

Birthday Butterflies

Feb 9th, 2010 Posted in Uncategorized | no comment »

I had a bit more fun playing with the Butterfly Prints set again this morning.  This time I went with a kind of vintage look.  I think the Tangerine Tango and Kiwi Kiss combine wonderfully.  And I even had to add a bit of bling to the butterflies, just to sparkle them up a little.

And how cute is the Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon, I was lucky enough to recieve this in last years Secret Santa on Angela’s forum.  Nice.
